There are a growing number of incidents of spousal abuse occurring in the workplace, it has been reported.
According to Management Issues, there are increasing reports of husbands coming to their wife’s office in order to continue arguments or disagreements.
Furthermore, some women who are suffering from abuse are also experiencing workplace visits from their violent partners.
The website writes: “What responsibility, if any, does a victim have to alert their employer that their spouse may be capable of coming to the office to harass them?” the website asks.
“In addition to the obvious toll on the victim, it’s also a frightful experience for colleagues to witness,” it continues.
Lyn Witheridge, chief executive of The Andrea Adams Trust claimed last month that workplace bullying is a growing problem in the UK and that it can often go beyond name-calling or teasing.
