UK: Legal & General adds health risk assessments to Employee Assistance Programme

By Paul Robertson, ifaonline.co.uk

The new online health risk assessment, now part of Legal & General’s EAP, Premier WorkLife Solutions, provides a traffic light indicator tells staff what they need to focus on as a top priority. It also provides them with links to information and fact sheets. For example, how to lower blood pressure, reduce weight or tackle an alcohol problem.

Vanessa Sallows, benefits and medical underwriting director for Legal & General’s Group Protection business said, “This new support for managers gives them access to specialist professionals who can help them with employment issues such as workplace bullying, handling conflict or managing change. The online facility also includes a useful manager section with fact sheets and links for further information.”

Diane Buckley, Group Protection’s Managing Director added, “We provide workplace benefits for managers as well as staff with the aim that they’ll be happier, healthier and more productive at work. The name Employee Assistance Programme doesn’t really reflect all of the valuable benefits that we provide, which is why we’ve renamed ours WorkLife Solutions.”
